Saturday Update

The Chairman of Carmarthenshire County council has pleaded guilt to charges of Animal Cruelty. Cllr. Hugh Richards OBE (pictured) admitted to 12 offences relating to the transport of animals. The former President of NFU Cymru did not enter pleas for another 36 similar summons. He was elected as Independent Councillor for Felinfoel in Llanelli during the May local government elections.

Normal Mouth has been commenting on Plaid's new independence 'initiative', reminding us all that it isn't supported by the party's membership. Their current argument is based on 'smaller countries being more successful', an argument that doesn't stand up to scrutiny. I think he is right to conclude that success is probably based on the country's culture and ethics. For instance, Wales could not sustain itself until joblessness is rid of in communities like Merthyr.

There have been many criticisms of Labour's Eluned Morgan MEP that are falling on deaf ears because;
a. she's actually a good MEP and
b. that nobody really cares about European governance because it's so far beyond any normal persons control.
