Results Confusion

There seems to be some confusion over the actual results of the County Council election in Carmarthenshire. Plaid say that they have won 30 seats and not 31 as the BBC and Western Mail have reported. I think we can trust Plaid to know at least how many Councillors they now have. Also, my calculations support what they say although I'm lacking confidence in them. I'm just extremely cautious about saying that the BBC is wrong.

Take a look at on the Plaid Sir Gâr website and on Alan's blog.

If this is true the composition of the Council will be as follows:

Independents - 31 - -2
Plaid Cymru - 30 - +14
Labour - 12 - -13
Liberal Democrats - 1 - +1
Still NOC

UPDATE:
Results are as follows:

Independents - 32 - -1
Plaid Cymru - 30 - +14
Labour - 11 - -14
Liberal Democrats - 1 - +1
Result: No Overall Control
